During December 2023’s Merry Giftsmas event, I play through this hugely retro-inspired Castlevania game for the first time via Steam/PC! I found Miriam to be my favorite character to play as, as she’s just all over the place and has really great range with her whips. Most of the game I find myself playing as her as soon as she’s unlocked. I play this on the amateur difficulty because I’m definitely not an expert at games like these, so lol. The game was a lot of fun and I’m really glad that they included an easier difficulty mode for people like me so that you can still enjoy and love the game and have fun doing it. Maybe at some point, I’ll come back another time and really ramp up the difficulty and try to go all in on this game, but until then, I found this game to be a lot of fun with a really great callback to the classics.
