Let’s Play Dead Island: Riptide – Definitive Edition

After our loads of fun playing through the original Dead Island together and exploring Banoi to the finish line, we decided to jump right into the next game in the series franchise and take a dive into Riptide! Ashterial, Cokesodacan, REKitten and HerrGengar all join in on the fun at certain points through the campaign! We once again played with a full four stack together cooperatively as we further explored the story and what becomes of the four main characters in the game, including a bonus added fifth new selectable character. The Story obviously ends in a massive mystery involving our five main heroes, and now that we know what happens in Dead Island 2, is kind of left out to pasture. At least, that’s what I think since I haven’t played Dead Island 2 yet as of the time of this writing. Regardless, Dead Island: Riptide is essentially a glorified DLC package for the original game including a few main areas to explore, and a lot of side missions. The main campaign can be completed pretty quickly if that’s what you are focusing on, and a few new enemies do show their faces, but it does really feel like just an addition to the original game. We’re definitely ready to jump into Dead Island 2 now!
